I get a very red frenulum and tip of glans after I've had an erection for a while when making out with my girlfriend (fully clothed, hence the chafing) It's not exactly sore but it looks like it should be, I don't think I've torn my frenulum, would it hurt a lot/ be sore if I had? It's just very red, but otherwise seems fine. Is this chafing normal and nothing to worry about?

It may be red due to friction, or chaffing, but also certainly due to increased blood flow due to sexual excitement.
Yes, if you had torn the frenulum, it would most likely remain sore and tender while it healed.... and I would send you to your local doctor for some treatment and counseling.
