Hi I have had a "burnt tongue" feeling for the last four days. For the last 24 hours I have been treating it with oral thrush treatment but it has not seemed to help much. Could it be anything else? My tongue doesn't seem to be too white, but I have red spots on the roof of my mouth and on my tonsils.

Red dots on tongue are actually small blood bumps. There can be several reasons possible behind the occurrence of red dots on tongue. The most common reason can be the deficiency of vitamin B in the body. Secondly, it can be some sort of allergic reaction produced by the immune system of your body against a foreign substance, better known as allergen in such cases. These allergens can be a foodstuff, toothpaste or its ingredients and even medicines. Try to stop using these stuffs and notice the change.
