Fibrin is the protein that’s involved in blood clotting and recent study found that it’s related to development of rheumatoid arthritis. Researchers showed that this disease occur because inflammatory cells were connected with fibrin matrices through aMB2 which is a specific integrant receptor. Study is trying to prove that arthritis could be treated by interrupting interaction between inflammatory cells and fibrin.

Rheumatoid arthritis is very painful disease that involves chronic inflammation, loss of join mobility and degeneration of the tissue. The cause of this disease is still not known but scientists are sure that activation of specific parts of human immune system has a great role in progression of arthritis.

Researchers believe that this kind of treatment could be efficacious with some other inflammatory diseases, multiple sclerosis for example.
