Study which was conducted on genetically engineered mice revealed that osteocrin controlled the bone’s supply of a CNP hormone which represents great importance for bone growth regulation and this research can be first step in developing new drugs for bone disease treatment. This osteocrin gene was discovered as part of a research to identify bone genes that could have therapeutic importance.
