Same sharp head pain after sex

I would like to know if anyone else experienced this. Every time after sex I have same sharp head pain. I became nervous after that and I start avoiding my girlfriend due to these headaches. Does anyone know what am I talking about?

I know that some people get headaches associated with exercise, sport or during sex. These 'sex headache' can occur before, during or after orgasm; it's often severe and can last for several hours. I guess same sharp head pains that you are experience after sex are those exertional headaches.

2 nights ago I went into emergency as my doctor thought it was an aneurism. full CT scan and lumber pucture (most painful procedure ever) to check if any red blood cells had entered the fluid around my brain. All was clear.

For some insane reason i get the most painful stabbing pain in the left side of my head for the last 3 times i've attempted having sex.

It must be gods way of getting me back for the bad things i've done in my life!!

Hoping it goes away soon - anyone know if there's a medication to help this?

My boyfriend and I had just finished having sex last night when he started screaming in pain. He said he felt a pop in the left side of his head and now had an extremely bad headache. I was so worried that he had an aneurism that I stayed awake for 2 hours just listening to make sure he was still breathing. We tried again today and half way through he stopped me and gripped the left side of his head again. He does not want to go to the doctor but I don't know what to do. I've done some research and there is such thing as a coital headache. Which is when sex gives a man a headache but I don't know if that's what's wrong with him. I hope someone can help me. The story above mine sounds very familiar.

anyone ever find out a solution im having the same problem for 4 days know after taking verapamil 120mg. also the headache happens after any type of hard movment/after a couple hours just being awake. went to 3 er's and they all say panic/anxiety and the drug had nothing to do with the sharp headaches but the headaches started 2 hours after intercourse after talking 1 verapamil 120mg. PLEASE HELP!

This seem odd that you say you took verapamil before have sex and the doctor say that had nothing to do with it cause my husband is taking that same med. 240 ml bout an hour before sex and has the same sharp pain on the left side of his head that last bout 3 hr and even after the sharp pain leave he still complains of discomfort several hours later.

I had severe headache after orgasm. Was more like a severe cramp in the back of my head and caused numbness in my face. After the second night in a row and the second time remaining sore in the back of my head I went to the ER. My blood pressure was 225/102. They did CT Scan and didn't find anything. They referred me to a neurologist and suggested I had MRI and further testing. I didn't have insurance so that never happened. I was put on blood pressure meds after that and have not had the head pain during orgasm since!

The headaches are from sudden change in blood flow and blood pressure caused by orgasm the medical term for it is coital cephalalgia

I am male, 56 years old and fairly healthy. Last night, seconds after I orgasmed I again had this serve stabbing pain in the left side of my head, about 2 cm above my temple. I think it is the 5th time I have had it and I think the first time was maybe 2 months ago. Clearly I don't get it every time. Last night I told my wife about it (I had not before as i did not want to spoil her moment). It is rather worrying and if left me with some discomfort most of today.

Hello i am ayah from philipines and this also what i am suffering everytime i had sex with my man i had a headache and i dont know what to do with it. I went to the doctor once but they say i do have low blood pressure.

I wish I knew what this was, if you find out , lease post... this happen to me.. pop in temple sounded like a vein bursting or rubber band snapping.. then headache.. now 1 month later, I still feel a slight headache or pressure there behind left temple or just slightly higher.

One doctor prescribed propraanol (I think is name) and it seemed to help some. Took about an hour before sex . It does have warning of lowering blood pressure.
