scar running along the shaft of my penis

Hi

For as long as I remember there has been a reddish/brown scar that starts from the base of my penis and runs along the shaft to the end. Im 20 and have never had any sugery to my knowledge so I am confused to how it is there, if anyone could shine some light on this i'd appreciate it.

I have the same thing... I always thought it was because
I got my penis stuck in a zipper as a baby or something.

But recently I read, that a fetus is basicly female. So when the penis starts to develope, the lips start to close and leave a scar. I guess it's quite common...

But I don't understand why only some people have it...

Yes, I too have noticed a long brown line running along the shaft of my penis and srotum. It is wider on the shaft of my penis (up to 5mm) but only a constant 2 mm on the scrotum. It runs along all the way to the rectum. I never had any surgical interventions. I didn't gave it any importance but now I wondered upon it's origin. Can anyone clarify this oddity?

Hey, all.I know this is an old post, but, I've also noticed I have a strange scar running from the bottom of my shaft, narrowing as it goes up to the head. I'm uncurcumsized, if that makes a difference. I've always wanted to know what it was, wasn't until now that I decided to look it up again.Last time I looked it up, I found some interesting information--I think in New Guinea or something, there was this tribe that had a strange penile-deforming ritual where they would cut the penis on the bottom side of the shaft the long way and let them bleed from it as they stand. Apparently it's how you become a man.

Thanks to the poster above, it is infact Penile Raphe, I remember I thought I had an STD the first time i spotted this at 16. Went to a doctor, who didnt even know what it was, I carried on with my life till I got to 35 and then one day wondered what it is and here I am.

I have the same scar and the scarred balls to actually ask my parents about it. Yes the conversation sucked worse than you are imagining. They said no surgery or wound while looking at me like I was crazy.
