Hi, I have met my very good friend yesterday on the street and he told me that his sister is suffering from schizoid behavior. I remembered her as person who didn't talk to much and didn't like company. However I was very surprised as I didn't know she may have some mental illness. I would like to know something more about this.

Hi, schizoid disorder is not so common. In deed it is pretty rare disorder which is characterized by emotional coldness. This person shows very little interest for company, for their friends and family. They usually show no sexual interests for other persons and they have very poor social life. Sometimes it may be very difficult to notice these people as they are living in their world and do not show interests to change it.
