My gf and i had unprotected 3mnths back. she had taken unwanted 72 that time., next two mnths she had period but lighter than usual.

i think that might be the effect of the pill..

then last month she had period on 15th october. (so her ovulation would start on 29th(15+14) as she had 28day cycle).

we again had unprotected sex on 22nd in that time she might not be fertile, but she she took unwanted 72 within 2hrs.

this mnth she should have period on 13th but still there is no sign..

please help...and thanks a lot in advance...

Hi Sandy,

A very common side effect of emergency contraceptives is that it can alter the womens period.  It may be early or late and heavier or lighter than normal - for several cycles, not just one!

She can always take a home test.

FYI, emergency contraceptives should not be used as regular birth control and are not intended to be taken several times during her cycle.  Ordinary, daily, birth control is MUCH more effective than the emergency pills and SAFER for your girlfriend.

Hope it helps.
