Hi there, It has been a little over a year ago since you had written this post. I hope that you are feeling better. I understand how you feel regarding the dr's opionios. I too suffer from chronic pain and at times am struggling to move. My recent visit to the the pain specialist had left me feeling confused. My diagnoisis clearly states that I have neuropathic pain associated with abnormal findings on my ct scan. The pain specialist reccomended that i was to start jogging and had told me I have nothing serious wrong with me. He also suggested that I am to join the pain clinic twice a week. It was said that there are alot of people like me who have no serious problem. I told him, I wont be attending. The reason for this, is because I cant see how they can help if my pain specialist thinks there is nothing there. He had also told me to stop telling people stories. I was made to feel like a fool-i cryed in the clinic, and then I thought, my tears are now a reason for the pain specialist to jott down that I have depression. (I may have felt depressed, due to a fu##ed up specialist, but he doesnt define me!) I also, was given untidepessants by one dr. and was told by that dr. if my pain doesnt go away he will just keep on upping the dose! I dumped him and found a dr. Who actually looked at my ct scan and mri report and I now have found one supportive dr. Although i do need to keep searching for a pain specialist who actually takes my medical reports and corrisponds the findings with me. It is a huge battle, and some drs and specialists are being paid alot of money to piss people off. They seem to prey on the vulnerable. You are not the only one who experinces the frustrations and angonies of the drs. I am going to keep looking for the right pain specialist and tell the others that I am not interested in their programms until i find the right one
. I totally understand reducing the medicine as I did the same thing 6 months ago. Keep strong and i think its ok to cry and be sad when there are difficult and tricky situations, it doesn't mean the situations define us, cause that is all it is-a situation. Also, I had thought these drs speak this way to many vulnerable people. Its not just us
I Hope you are feeling better

In 2004 I went to work one day and didn't come home for 4 months. Lucky to be alive and not in a wheelchair life goes on. Huge doses of oxycontin, panadein forte and endone left me on the couch for two years until I decided it was time to do something about it. Yes the mind is the best tool but people don't understand pain if they don't have it. What saved my life was motorcycles which were my life before this work accident. I decided to just get on my bike and ride to tasmania from cairns and take my medication later each day and drop the dose slowly. Keeping your mind active is the only way you can do this horrible addiction and dependence. Took me 6 months to get off oxycontin and forte to the point where I now take only 2 panadeine forte per day but still have oxycontin for bad days. I would urge anyone to have a go at doing something you love and keeping your mind active is the key. Getting off this medication is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. All the pain management and shrinks, doctors and everyone else are not going to help unless you have made your mind up to win back some sort of normal life. Good luck with it. Study is also very good at keeping mind active

That's either BS or you never really had severe pain in the first place, or you work for the pain clinic and are spreading propaganda to build up business, you CANNOT cure pain with words, other words, the old Jedi mind trick.

There are NO side effects from Norspan, try to look it up anywhere and find me proof of any cases, you won't.
They say get off it yet want to give you nothing in return, I would be looking for a real doctor instead of that idot.
I have been on them for over 12yrs, not one side effect or problem, even my doctor told me that.
there are a lot of so-called weak doctors out there.

Have a spinal fusion and get rid of the bulging disc and have your hips replaced. Your pain killer addiction will kill you. Lyrica can also cause suicidal ideations.

Excellent but you need to get off them all. My doctor told my husband that Panadeine Forte has now been found to actually cause pain. You're still addicted.

Hello.

Panadeine Forte contains a combination of codeine and paracetamol (acetaminophen). Taking excessive amounts of any medication can pose risks to your health, including potential harm to your kidneys and other organs. Regular, long-term use of high doses of paracetamol can be particularly damaging to the liver.

If you're experiencing constant pain related to fibromyalgia, it's crucial to work with a healthcare provider to develop a comprehensive pain management plan. Here are a few steps you can take:

Speak to your doctor: Schedule an appointment to discuss your concerns and seek their guidance. They can evaluate your current medication regimen and suggest alternative treatments or adjustments to help manage your pain effectively.

Explore non-medication treatments: In addition to medication, there are various non-medication treatments available for fibromyalgia. These may include physical therapy, occupational therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, and lifestyle modifications. Your healthcare provider can help determine which options may be most beneficial for you.

Seek a specialist: Consider consulting a pain management specialist or a rheumatologist who specializes in fibromyalgia. They have expertise in managing chronic pain conditions and may offer additional treatment options or interventions.

Pain management techniques: Explore alternative pain management techniques such as mindfulness meditation, deep breathing exercises, yoga, or acupuncture. These practices may not eliminate your pain entirely, but they can help reduce its severity and improve your overall well-being.

Support groups: Joining a support group or seeking counseling can provide emotional support and the opportunity to connect with others who have similar experiences. Sharing your challenges and learning coping strategies from others can be beneficial.

Good luck.
