a couple of days before ovulation me and my bf had sex and afterwards I had slight spottin it lasted until the next day, i havent had any since then, I really dont want to get pregnant at this time, however my period is due in about ten days and I have been having cramping every day since I had sex. Should I worry or could it just be menstrual cramps?

Well if you do not want to get pregnant do not have unprotected sex!

There is no text book calendar as far as when ovulation occurs.... so you can use a calendar and count days until you are blue in the face.. but lets face it, the body will do what it wants when it wants.
Lots of things can alter your cycle AND ovulation.
The rythm method and counting days is in no way a safe way to prevent pregnancy simply because unless you time everyhting perfectly and make sure the sperm are far dead prior to ovulation and that an egg didnt sneak out.
There are lots of forums and discussions about all of this stuff BUT I do not care what A doctor or even scientist says, no one knows 100% what your body will do and when since you are an individual.

I can feel myself ovulate every month and I can tell you some months there is no pattern to it. And even though stress and lifestyle, activies and even more alter these bodily things.. I live a very stress free healthy life and still the body will do what it wants to do.
