I have been getting lower back injections since 12/11. I have a degenerated L-5 and a small annular tear. I DO get some relief for a couple weeks, but the pain always comes back and NOW, I am experiencing sciatic pain down my legs.

My biggest worry is the uncontrollable RAGE and mood swings!:-S They started at the time of the shots. Also, weight gain.

I asked my Dr. if this could be some type of "roid rage" and he basically laughed and said that the amount of Cortisone was so little that it couldn't cause that. I know my body, I suffer from anxiety, depression and just lost my Mom to Alzheimer's. I take meds for my anxiety and depression but this severe RAGE and almost psychotic episodes are destroying my life! I've has 3 Eoidurals and 1 sacral joint injection since Dec. and I refuse to have anymore!

I'm terrified about this. I feel like I'm going crazy and need to know if this has happened to anyone else.

Hey there!! I have the same issues as you and I've just had my first injection on Wednesday.. Today is Saturday and I feel like a nut case. I've got anxiety issues with obsessive tendencies and I'm feeling like a mental mess. I'm doing my best to keep relaxed and hope it goes away in a few days. Don't worry, that weird feeling that the world isn't real will go away :)
