Stomach migraines or Epilepsy of the stomach

my grandson also takes cyproheptadine for his abdominale migraines it has worked wonders. he has been starting to complain of belly pain off and on but nothing like before. I was wondering do the doctors say if there are triggers? like a certian food or something that could bring them on. iwas getting one every day for a month before the hospital finallly admitted him and figured out what it was.

I have a 40 year old sister who has been ill for 10 years, diagnosed with many different things, none were correct, we finally went to the mayo and they called in a Neurologist who specializes in "Rare Seizure Disorder". She is having right temperal lobe siezures that cause the autonomic system to shut down. She is in organ failure and is currently on seizure meds for this. Due to the seizure her stomach motility stops and she has had many ileus's and has had surgery twice for organs going out. None of these with a diagnosis. We are probably going to brain surgery. The good news is we finally know what is causing the horrible vomiting and diarreah and organ failure. She got down to 89 lbs and was about to die. Every time she ate she got horribly sick and in pain. She talked about "fuzzy brain" and has some of the same symptoms. Find a neurologist that specializes in rare forms of brain seizures. i have been dealing with intermittent stomach attacks for the last10years. my stomach is in severe pain, it swells to 3times the normal size and is extremely sensitive to the touch-cannot have anything against it. episodes are so severe ive been to emergency multiple times but get no information to help. after researching abdominal epilepsy, i think its a possible diagnosis for ruling out. i have found in my research to try epilepsy medication as it will slow down and calm the attack by calming the stomach muscles. also a site suggested xanex and to my shock it does work. good luck to you all.

We are just starting this awful journey with our 10 yr old daughter. and this is the first post after 7 days of searching that comments on "waking up with the pain." She will sleep all night and when she opens her eyes..within minutes she is in severe pain around the belly button area. I am an ICU nurse and I was convinced she was just crazy...the doctors had to convince me that this is real. They sent us home from Childrens after 5 days and all tests negative including intbation and scoping both ends with a DX of IBS....she doesn't display IBS symptoms...she is more Cyclical abdominal migraine pain...but why first thing in the morning or why waking her up in the morning with this pain from a dead sleep...feeling frustrated in California..I am and ICU RN and I can't fix my own daughter...she keeps asking me WHY!!!!

Dear sir, My name isAbdul Aziz,iam 28 years old,i have epilepsy in past 20 years.i tried both ayurvedic&alopathic medicines. This disease started at my 8th age.before my first seizure i did a long time journey in sunlight.after this the seizure happend different times.approximatly 2 -3 times in a year. in this period some foods[grape juice,beaf,curd,banana,liver] are dangerous to me.after eating these kind of food the chances of become seizured is 90%.at last iam totally avoid these kind of foods and continued ayurvedic treatment. At my 14th age due to long term ayurvedic treatment,epilepsy is just controlled. in this period iam not become seizured,but vomitting tendency started.vomitting in daily morning after break fast is part of my daily life.this situation continued till my 19th age. At my 19th age iam become seizured 2 times .iam continued allopathic medicine.vomitting stopped, in allopathic medicine iam not found any development.iam alredy done an MRI scan on this period. in this perid at my 24th age iam become seizured at two times..iam almost seizured during sleep,after midnight. At last iam become seizured now at my 28th age after long 3-4 years.please help me to find out what kind of epilepsy is this, i have any genitic ,physical ,metabolic reasons to become seizured? I have been dealing with the same for just oved 3 years I have had every test known to man with no luck every day there is pain feels like my tummy is flipping and I swell they told me to avoid wheat and dairy but that didnt even work im about to give up tired of the pain and fatigue almost every day looking for answers
