Hi, I am 59 years old and I have recently started experiencing some sort of funny feeling on the front ride side of my brain and its moving around in there and comes all the right side of my face to my neck and I thought at first I might be having a stroke.  It goes down to the back of my neck.   The feeling in my brain makes me think the right side of my brain is slowly dying.  It sort of feel like a headache above my right eye at first, but then it deadens the whole right side of my face and neck.   Help me please before its too late.

Hello,

first of all, to ease at least a bit of your worries - the brain itself doesn't have any pain receptors. So any pain you experience that's focused in some spot on your head is actually caused by pressure that blood vessels around the head area exert to neurons that transmit pain. However, since the pain is spreading towards your neck and hands, I'd recommend you to try seeing a doctor to determine if this possibly is caused by an infection or circulatory system problems.

Are you male or female? I'm asking because sometimes menopause can lead to problems similar to ones you described. I'm afraid there is no way anybody could give you teh exact answer online, I can only help you by suggesting what I think might be the cause of your problems. Only a direct contact with a medical professional will give you a definitive answer and you won't get scared even more by readin (mostly) unfounded and 'worst case scenario' experiences online.

Since it's been a week after you originally posted - were tehre any changes in your symptoms?
