suboxan for cronic pain is it safe

suboxan is great to get u off of opiates but does not relieve pain. This is coming from someone that has used it for a year.

I went to the doctor today and was told Suboxan WILL help relieve pain. I havent used it yet but will let you know for sure when I do.

Sorry no pain relief for me either. Been on it about a week and it does take the edge off, but my pain is still there.

used for 1 year now, no releif,trying to get off it 8-|

Suboxone is indicated for use in treating opiate addiction in which withdraw symptoms are present. Doctors far more frequently prescribe Percocet or Tylox for moderate to major pain indications and any form of Vicodin for lesser pain indications.

I have been taking suboxone for over 3 yrs and I do find it helpful withh my pain. I also take ibuprohen/ tylenol. I got addicted to pain killers back in 1993 off and on. got off of it all then I broke my back. then I thought about getting on something stronger like Lorcet,vicodin,tylenol 3... but I choose to live a better life style. I started taking the suboxone when I realized the pain meds were controlling my life and I had no Idea I was gonna get addicted to pain pills.well I did but thanks for my Dr. he help me with my addiction as well as taking my life and turning it around. I take half of a tablet sometimes 3 times a day with ibuprohen/valium. as far being addicted to the soboxone I have weaned my self off before but  my pain was horriable. and as of today I am still on the suboxone/tylenol or ibuprophen the walmart brand equate the little round brown pill alone with the soboxone. I also take a valium to help with my muscle spasm. I am just Blessed I didnt choose to go back on pain pills again. I am 49 yrs old and I am proud to say yes Suboxone does work if you take them right. most of all it doesnt control you like the pain meds did. I have a life and a good one.
