I had suffered from severe sciatica for over two years and about a year ago my GP recommended me to an orthopedic surgeon. He made me get an MRI and when he looked at the scan he said that I needed a triple laminectomy on L3/L4/L5/S1 with bracing, costing me to the order of $40 000. I could not get my head around this and suffered for many more months before a friend recommended that I go and see a female neurosurgeon. I visited her and when she looked at the MRI scan on her computer she said that all I needed was a partial laminectomy on L4/L5. She booked me in for the operation which was 100% successful and the cost was only $4 000 all in and that included the two nights in hospital.
After the operation I am a new man and it has given me a new lease on life.
Just for info, if I had gone with the Orthopedic surgeon he would have had to employ the services of a neurosurgeon to do the exacting neurological work anyway.
