I feel like we were exactly alike I tool miralax all the way till this month which is now 7 months out from surgery. I'm finally getting back to normal but still have a little bit of soreness after a BM. I bled ask the way to to about a week ago I had a small fissure from surgery. It got so bad I ended up making a paste from honey Olive oil vita E and wheat germ oil this did more then anything the doctor gave me and I was on nifedipine for 3 months. I'm still only about 95 percent there. The skin tag is ridiculous some people get them after and some don't. I will tell you guys though if you're at 6 months and on and are not getting better go get a second opinion. I went to my dermatologist who thought what was happening is the area was some what irritated because they tell you not to wash it will if you have a little bit of a open wound and you get waste in it every time you go then it won't heal properly. I was prescribed alcortin a this did amazing things for me the first day I used it. Just my thoughts prayers for all you guys. I was a pro baseball player active I eat healthy and then one day they came and only got worse so it can happen to anybody but until somebody goes through this surgery they have no idea how bad it is. Oh and by the way George Brett who played baseball for the kc royals had this surgery by the best surgeon ever back in the 80s and he missed a whole year of baseball so it takes along time look him up lol

My goodness, I am 6 days post op and I'm just going to have to see through my own experience how all this goes down because it feels like i have more haemorrhoids than before surgery. Decided to go in tomorrow to have check me out. Actual BM are not as bad as the pain right after.... the worst pain I've ever had. I've had 3 c-sections and never really needede to take my pain meds when I get home. So, I thought I could handle this so called small operation...... the first night after surgery I went back to ER and they put me on a drip with pain meds and got additional shot of pain relieve. I don't think I would have been able to go to sell otherwise. Oh and they forgot to tell me to remove that tampon like thing they had inserted in my behind and i had involuntary contractions in my anal area and was screaming at the top of my lungs with every contraction. I think this was my body's way of letting me know that there was a foreign object that needed removing. They removed this at their rooms the next day which was 3 days post op. I love my doctors but sometimes I feel they just dont take the necessary time to explain everything especially after surgery. At the end of the day I'm paying for this service.

I don't know where I can put my story but I wanted to share it,and I'm still going threw it and hopefully someone could help me...ok so, I had surgery Wednesday 31 and I can barely walk ,but I feel like I need to make a BM two days later and can't...i already have problems BM anyways so I call the doctor cuz I'm already taking meta mucil/mineral oil and miralax and I've been taking this way before surgery now I take it twice a day since surgery still no BM...And the doctor told me to get the pill laxatives that works over night so I did the second day I took two pills and the next morning nothing happen so I took two more and the next morning nothing happen again. So I tired one more time to take two more pills and I told my husband if nothing happens the next morning I was going back to the doctor..so I took two more and the next morning I finally had to use it after four days..I was in the bathroom and all was coming so fast at one time and I got hot really fast sweating and everything because it was so painful I passed out and hit my face on the wall I was out on the floor for about 5 mins til my husband come checked on me blood everywhere from my face where he thought I broken my nose to my butt..i really don't remember what happen from then to the time I got to the hospital cuz my husband called the ambulance...they let me go home and that all happened yesterday.. I've got doctor's appointment tomorrow morning and I feel like I have to use bathroom but can't.i don't know what to do...i also can feel sitiches and it sends a sharp pain throw me. Now I've got liquid sitiches straight down my head and nose...And it's now even a week yet.

I agree. Ive been butchered and I don't even know where my bumhole is anymore. I had one thrombosed hemi. Went to see my doc about it. Had absolutely no idea what I was getting into. He said he would "take care of it" right then and there and I'd be all good to go. I asked him if I'd be okay to return to work after this procedure. This was Friday. I was told I'd be good to go by Monday. After passing out and throwing up in the parking lot after the "surgery" because I wasn't told to relax or lie down for a bit ... I began to worry. Being so numbed up I didn't yet realize the extent of what had been performed until I got home and watched a video... I began to panic wondering what possessed me to give someone permission to do this to my body? My bumhole looks mangled and hideous. I can't imagine it will ever look anything close to normal again. I've had a hell of a time explaining my sudden need to be out of work for at least two weeks. I feel that I was deceived and I am paying for some awful thing I most have done to someone somewhere along the line. The pain has been bearable with meds. It's more of a psychological recovery that I need. DONT DO IT.

Hi, I am so sorry to hear that... I could not pass gas for the first day and then i was fine,,,, but please make sure to take a walk at least for 10-15 minutes that will defiantly help you... also, have some fresh mint in some hot water and drink it will help with the gas....
in terms of BM, its been my 4th day now since my surgery, i have a hard time pooping, all i do, is to take a pain killer 1 min before i poop and that will help with the pain... but make sure to drink a lot of water, as well as take stool softners on daily basis

Post op 10 days...ice packs in a sock work well even at nigjt. Taking colace tablets, mirilax twice daily, and mineral oil before bed helps bm pass easier. Breathing during bm helps also. Pain was horrendous until day 6-7...swelling only made better by laying flat with ice packs. Eotate oxy and ibprofin 800 every 4 hours and dont be late!

Can you please send me the name of that ointment. This surgery has been the most horrible experience of my life. I am still on clear liquids after 7 days out. Spent last night at er. Pain.meds changed 3 times now to dilludid. I am so emotionally mentally and physically torn.
