:-)
So today, I get yet another x-ray and after five months, I am finally told my by ortho surgeon that I may gradually make the transition from the boot into my orthodics.......over about a week. He says....when your foot gets sore, put the boot back on for a bit and keep doing that until you feel less soreness. I was so happy, I started to cry. I have waited for this day for so so long. It seems like a lifetime. Because I had done the two months of full weight bearing in the boot, it looks as though I will not require physio.....YAY me. I am now just sitting in the kitchen wearing not one.....but two crocks....but just in and around the house. It also looks like my chances of getting arthritis are minimal. I feel free although my foot does feel a bit heavy and weird but I am sure this feeling will diminish in a few days. I will update in a week or so to let you all know how I am doing!!!!

So I have been out of the walking boot now for 2 weeks and walking in various orthotic shoes......I have alot of pain all over my foot...not just in the metatarsal area. The orthotics are very foreign to me and I am not sure if my feet will ever get used to them. They hurt!!!! It feels like there is a balled up sock in my shoes and I just want to get it out. Will I ever get used to this?? Does the pain ever diminish??? I am still limping even in the orthotics??????
