My little brother has been diagnosed with asthma and I have to admit that he is talking it well, opposite from the rest of us who are very concerned for his health. Anyway, he uses epinephrine to deal with all those annoying symptoms (wheezing, shortness of breath). I have also heard of drug with similar name, Norepinephrine. What is the difference between those two?

Well, they do have very similar names. But that nor makes a very big difference. Actually, Norepinephrine is similar to adrenaline when it comes to function and purpose. It constricts blood vessels which increases the level of blood pressure and glucose. It is used in cases of dangerous hypotension (in cardio pulmonary resuscitation, for example).
