for the past year, getting worse now, I've had throat tightness that gets worse once I lay down, worse especially when I am trying to sleep. It seems that the only time my throat doesn't tighten up with pressure is when i am standing or in a upward position. I have no difficulty swallowing at all, the tightness is more in an area below the adams apple above the chest. The x-ray and CT scan showed nothing. Went to an endocrinologist who believed the nodules were way too minuscule to cause such tightness. Went to an E&T who put a camera in from the nose to look down at the throat and said nothing was obstructing and that everything looked fine.  I am getting an MRI soon.

The tightness is getting worse and worse and quite frankly, its uncomfortable and has led to many many sleepless nights where I have to gasp for air. Has anyone had any problems like this? please help, thank you
