I'm 23 years old and lately I've been have trouble urinating at night. During the day, when I'm awake and alert everything this is fine, but once I start to get tired and all through the night and even when I first wake up I find in impossible to urinate. Sometimes I feel I have to go so bad, I try for up to an hour. I'm just wondering if there's a reason for the time issue.

If you do not have enlarged prostate, this could be a problem with the urethral "sphincter" muscles that control flow. I have the same problem, and urologists and GP's have not been any help with this. (Nor chiropractists). One very strange thing that I've found is that one particular "Anti Anxiety" medication called "Desyrel" actually helps with this. The problem may be stress related, and somehow during the night the involuntary muscles are taking over and not allowing relaxation of the muscles controlling flow.
