I am 31 and I have had crohns disease since I was 8 Ive had multiple surgeries absorbtion problems and other complications, I currently live in ohio, im on 10mg methadone every 6 hrs 40mg/day and as of a year ago there are new prescribing quidlines.  the quidline states that a non terminal patient sould be on no more than 80mg/day morphine equivilent and at that point other options should be tried.  which they have exhausted all other options in my case even experimental ones.  My doctor was going to increase me from 40 mg methadone/day to 50mg methadone/day but because of the new guidlines he is afraid to.  he told me that indiana does not have this guidline he is willing to give me a referall but I dont know who to go to, I dont want to end up with less meds than I have now or no meds at all.  I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction with the name of a doctor around the fort wayne area legit please no shady backroom docs.  I hve called a couple docs in the area but they wouldnt let me know anything they just told me to get the referall and make an oppointment, but with my condition and my mal absorbtion I cant risk going to a doc that has a limit on methadone lower than what I am currently on.  I know this sounds like drugseeking behavior its anything but I have been with the same doc for over 10 years and now the government is telling my doc how to prescribe meds I cant find a doc on my own I need your help Thanks,  If you dont want to leave a docs name on this site reply and ill leave contact info
