Hello. I'm 46 year old female and I would like to be more informed about the symptoms I've noticed lately.
I'm having problems with being overweight almost whole my life and long family history of diabetes incidence.
Just recently I started to suffer from symptoms that got me worried a bit. First, I noticed blurry vision and some cuts that are slow to heal.
After this, frequent vaginal infections occurred!
Beside this, I have these symptoms are strongest after eating a lot of sweets. Please tell me, are any of these symptoms characteristic for diabetes type 2 and how could I be sure?

Hello. I know some important facts about diabetes and possible symptoms and I will tell you everything I know about it.
First, I must tell you that almost every symptom you’ve mentioned could be a sign of diabetes type2.
Unlike type 1, in type 2 diabetes, the blood sugar level rises so slowly that symptoms often are not present in the early stages of the disease. Beside the symptoms you’ve mentioned also feeling dizzy or weak when sitting or standing suddenly is very common.
Including the fact that you are overweight and that there are diabetics in your family, I suggest you to contact your GP over this.
