My period ended Nov. 14. I had unprotected sex last Nov. 24. My guy said he cum inside me. I'm probably fertile during that time since it's the 15th day of my cycle. Then I had my period again on Nov. 27 which was very unpredictable because I was supposed to have my period on December. Is it a sign that I'm irregular and is there a possibility that I'm pregnant? I need your answers guys. Please help me out here. Thanks!

Dear hephep

I think you are irregular (or rather, your periods are irregular!). How old are you?

Your period would tend to arrive about a fortnight after you ovulate. With a 28-day cycle, it is also about a fortnight before ovulation. So, with a period starting 27th Nov (today?), it is possible that you had ovulated on about 13th or 14th Nov.

The fact that you had a period is a good, though not perfect, sign that you are not pregnant.

However, you need to ask yourself:

  1. Why did you have unprotected sex (anytime is a chance of pregnancy following!)?
  2. Why did you have sex on what could have been your most fertile day?
  3. Your "guy said he cum inside" you. Did you not know?
  4. Does he usually "cum inside" you? Beware.

I hope this helps

I'm 20 years old. Honestly I didn't noticed that I might be fertile during our intercourse. So I admit I'm careless on that part. I'm actually planning to talk to him about this. Thanks for the reply by the way. :)

Dear hephep

Glad I could help. Remember to use protection every time. Also, remember that anytime you have sex there is the risk of pregnancy.

Take care.

But do you think it's okay if I check with pregnancy test after my period? I'm really worried if I'm pregnant or not.

Yes, by all means. You could do a DIY test now, but the later you leave it, the more accurate the test will be. You could, of course, take a blood test. As women have been known (rarely) to have periods while pregnant, and even up to giving birth, a negative test result would give you more peace of mind.

If you are still worried, feel free to chat about what happened in private if it helps.

Where are you? Are there any cultural or religious implications.

Well I'm just worried because if ever "i'm pregnant", financial problem would matter since I'm already a graduating student, I still don't have work as of now. But I would just accept it if ever the result is positive.

Dear hephep

I'm glad to hear that you "would just accept it if ever the result is positive". That is such a refreshing attitude, despite the ensuing financial problem.

Take Care.

Well I'm not really into abortion or what. But do you think I have a chance of being pregnant? Despite that my period is regular before it's just that most of the time I'm delayed because I'm always stressed and staying up late at night because of school works.

Dear hephep

My inclination is to say you're not pregnant, but the fact is that without a test we cannot be absolutely sure. The indications are that you are not, but the reason I emphasise the fact that anytime you have sex you could get pregnant is that the body does not always conform to pattern. The human body is a wonderful part of creation, and adjusts to all sorts of assaults on it. So all manner of factors can disturb the normal functions.

I hope all goes well for you.

Take care.
