I have been and still am experiencing unsteadiness, a feeling of fullness in the head, minor leg tremors, and occasional tingling in the face. Went to my PCP and he sent me for an MRI of the brain. Results stated findings are most compatible with mesial temporal sclerosis for which clinical correlation is recommended. It also noted that a low grade glioma cannot be completely ruled out. A comparison with an MRI of the brain I had in 2007 showed no changes even though that MRI didn't mention these disorders but mentions the same abnormal signal and same area of abnormality. Saw my neurologist shortly after and he didn't seem to concerned and dismissed the possibility of a low grade glioma and was confident mesial temporal sclerosis was the correct diagnosis. From what I understand mesial temporal sclerosis isn't anything to ignore but my nerulogist wasn't to concerned with it and my neurological exam was normal. EEG was also normal. I have a history of epilepsy since I was child, now 27 years old. My problem is none of my symptoms were addressed. I still feel like garbage day in and day out and just want to sleep everyday away because I feel awful. I've considered seeking a second opinion on these MRI results. Anyone have an idea what else causes these types of symptoms and what doctor I should see next?
