I've been on the pill for a year and hate having my period (as it's now painful but it wasn't before), so i take the pill continuously without a break except when i finish a packet at the end of three months. I'm half way through the last month of my current packet, and although i forgot to take my pill yesterday morning and took it in the evening instead (within 12 hours - is there a real cut-off point?) and weirdly my period has started. I took a pill again this morning but I'm still bleeding as I would on a normal period. I'm seeing my boyfriend tomorrow and am unsure as to whether I will need to use a condom with him. I know I'm not pregnant right now, but does this period mean the pill isn't working or is it a false period like the ones you usually get at the end of 21 days? Has this happened to anyone else? Have tried to get in to the doctor to ask but couldn't get an appointment today so I hope someone can help me out this evening (06.11.08, 16.00 GMT). Thank you.

Missing one pill can bring on break thru bleeding. Seeing that it was only one, continue to take them as usual.
As for the condom question, i would rather be safe than sorry. That is your call tho. I would say the chances of you getting pregnant are small, but again i wouldn't want to risk it.
