I have the issue where on the usually first / second night of my period when it is most heavy (sorry for tmi), it burns and I usually treat it with sudocream and try to distract myself but now I can’t and I don’t know what to do

I get this too. I have no idea what it is and I'm normal for all tests. It literally feels like a uti for almost a week before my period....?!

I went to the doctor several times for this just for them to tell me they don’t have a clue. I don’t have insurance so it was very costly with no information to help me. They recommend me go to the hospital and have a more advanced scan done unfortunately it was going to cost several hundred dollars so now I suffer with this I’m 16....

I had a tubal last year in July, by Oct the vaginal burning began and was a constant daily issue. I've seen urologist, had cystoscope, did pelvic therapy, was told i had interstitial cystitis possibly, vulvadynia. It's gotten recentlt to where the burning or even pain at times is not daily. Like you i now notice it more before my cycle comes. I'm thankful for the good days because it has been a rough year feeling like i was going to live the rest of my days in constant discomfort. I still pray this resolves completey. I am convinced this has something to do with the tubal. I don't know if it is hormonal or nerve related but i onow i wouldnt be going through this had i not had the tubal. It sucks... i hope things are better for you

I’ve had the same problems. I was treated for a UTI but the burning inside comes back before and after my period .
I started probiotics and it seems to help a bit but not always. Today it’s really bad and I just started my period . I wish I never had a tubal!

I am 48 and get this, my GP told me that before a period the PH in your body changes and causes the burning, this also causes my husbands penis to burn after we have had intercourse, if we have sex any other time in the month it's fine, the burning normally starts a week before my period is due.

I am having a similar issue. I have been getting my period regularly since I was 11. I’m 25 now and right before the last several periods I have had irritation and been uncomfortable. Treated for a yeast infection with my doc and she says it’s very normal to get one before your period due to hormone changes. But I didn’t have that issue for the first 13.5 years of getting my period every month. I just want this to stop, any suggestions ? I am healthy overall, I don’t know what else to do but maybe change my diet ?0
