The first time I felt pain and lumps in my testicles I went running to be examined. Actually the pain and discomfort came first, which I ignored at first (as I know cancer is often painless in the testicles) but when I felt these lumps, I panicked! I think that the procedure a doc did was called venogram or something. I was diagnosed with vericocele. What I would like to know is what caused this condition and as I haven’t discussed the treatment yet…what the treatment options are. Thx

I suppose you will need to have a surgery, which is usually recommended if varicocele causes pain or shrinkage of the testicles or if it is casuing infertility. In cases that are mild, with no pain, varicocele can be dealt with wearing an athletic supporter or snug-fitting underwear to provide support for the scrotum. |A surgery is called varicocelectomy.
