I had sex on Dec. 2 and i'm on the bc pill and have been for about 4 years. i always get my period on the friday on the white pills (i am a sunday starter) this month was no different, i started on time and i had had a few normal symptoms, tender breasts, slight cramping, breakout. The only difference was it was extremely light, only lasting about 2 and a half days....could i be pregnant? I have had one other period like this but hadn't had sex that month i believe it was stress related, this time im not sure how to tell. any suggestions?

Hi! I found that over the course of time, oral contraceptive pills gradually thin out the lining of the uterus (the endometrium). This results in generally lighter and lighter periods, and, for some women, actually missing a period. As long as there is at least some spotting, pregnancy is extremely unlikely. These lighter or missed periods are not harmful. I hope this information will help you.
