Hi there, I just happen to know the answer to your question. Antibody is a protein which is shaped like a letter Y. It is used by immune system to beat bacteria and viruses. Two tips on each antibody are unique. Main function of humoral immune system is to produce antibodies. There is couple of ways of neutralizing a virus. Sometimes antibodies destroy some vital functions of a specific virus. By doing that, antibodies are destroying a virus itself.
