I am a 45 year old woman who was born with congenital hydrocephalus. This was not diagnosed until i was 21, when i fell down som e stairs whilst still living at home.

I have been living in London since 1986. Although i am currently unemployed, i have had jobs as a receptionist in the past.
Now to the crux of this e mail, i have been advised to have a shunt inserted, due to me having balance and memory problems. I am
hesitant, as i feel unless it is a threat to my life i am content to stay as i am, ie without a shunt.
