Hello, folks. My friend got some serious head injury. He fell from a bike, at least I think he did. His doctors say that he has linear skull fracture. I would like to know what causes this kind of fractures. I would really appreciate all your efforts in replying to my post. Bye!

Hello. Usually linear skull fractures are not so dangerous. They are caused by a force that is blunt and low in energy. It acts in a wide area of skull. It spreads through whole thickness of bone. Usually the impact makes the area to bend inward and surrounding tissue to bend outward. My friend had it last year, but he didn’t have any severe complications. I hope your friend won’t have them either. Please, let me know how it develops. Bye!
