My father has all symptoms of wegener's granulomatosis. We don’t sure yet is it really this disease. He needs to do urine and blood tests and go to chest X-rey. After that we will know what is happening. But can somebody with experience tell me what drugs are used to treat wegener's granulomatosis?

Doctors usually prescribe corticosteroids, such as prednisone, to treat the early signs and symptoms of Wegener's granulomatosis. And that may be enough for some people. But in most cases patients use immunosuppressive drug, such as cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan), azathioprine (Imuran) or methotrexate (Rheumatrex), to reduce the body's immune reaction. That is all I know.
