I have allergy on soap and detergents. Hands become itchy and redness occurs, sometimes even with the small blisters filled with clear fluid. I was at the doctors and he said that I have dermatitis and he prescribed me with dexametasone. What is dexametasone? Will it help me at all? I did not use this before.

Dexametasone is glucocorticoid. They have a large variety of effects. Most important are anti-inflammatory effect (reduces the impact of inflammatory process), anti allergic (reduces the risk of allergy) and immunosuppressive effect (used in large amounts during the organ translation). Dexametasone is used for many conditions (allergic conditions, blood disease, pulmonal and skin diseases).
