I have been to the ER twice. They did a ct scan, xrays and blood work. Only thing wrong was white blood cell count was really high. My gall bladder looked fine and so did my apendix. I am having SEVERE upper abdominal pain. It starts in the middle above my belly button and goes to my right side. And since being to the ER for a 2nd time 3 days ago I am having more symptoms. Now I cannot keep any food or drinks down. I have lost 4 lbs in 3 days. The ER doctor told me to go to a family Dr and get a referral to a GI specialist. I am going to do that but until then should I be worried about not keeping anything down and being in extreme pain and what could it be?!

Hi Gabby: The 1st thing I thought was a Gallstone attack! Below find a link I found for you about the symptoms! Do you go to the hospital when you are in the middle of feeling your worst? The white blood count DEFINITELY says there is an infection going on here. Check this site out and see what you think. And when it happens again, go straight back to the ER and ask to see a GI specialist on call. Or talk to your doctor and have him send in a req! Good luck and health hon!
