Well I don't really know when I'm getting my period. I have have discharge for a LONG time, like I don't even know how long. I'm really athletic, but I haven't had any cramps. Anyone know when it's coming?

actually there ARE lots of things you might notice before getting your first period.... you can notice that your vigina is whiter than usuall, and that very light blood comes out, you also get the white slimy thing. also, when you start to develope brests after 2 ot 2and a half years later you might get your period.

I have got lots of white discharge and I don't know if this means I'm starting my period - it's all around the outside of where my vagina is!! haha!, some days I have loads and some days I have none. I haven't started getting brown discharge, but I've been looking on different websites and it says lots of stuff that i think I have : back pain, tummy ache (lower down) white discharge etc.
I am only 12 (13 on August 20th 2012). My mum started when she was 15 and a half!!!! But my grandma started when she was 12 though - bit odd???%-) I don't like it because all my friends except 2 others have started their periods and I feel left out, but I think that one of the 2 friends has started her period secretly but doesn't want to tell anyone. My bestie started five days ago and I feel really weird and my friends critize me about me wanting a period and there horrible!!!:'(
Can anyone help me out here - I think I'll have my period when I'm 14, maybe 13?

in 12 i have already had myn if you notice the white discharge getting worse or more often at weird or random times reply and u get craps through puberty bring a pad or 2 to school keep one in your locker and another with you at all times :) your gonna be fine :)

im 12 and already had myn .. if you find the white discharge getting more often of at random times tell me and its fine it means your getting closer to your due date its cleaning out your *area* you gte cramps all your puberty time and bring 2 or 3 pads with you to school or carrie one with you every were you go !!

its okay dont let your friends make you feel bad everyone is differnt and your time will come myn came at 12 it sucked but once i got it i felt relived that i didnt have to worrie about what the first time was gonna be like carrie 2 or 3 pads with you to school and anywere you go if you need help ill give you my email

no actualy there is no one in this world who can put a date on your period the first time it come it come when it wants to all you can do it be pre-pared bring pads with you were ever you go you only need 1 or 2 dont worrie you will be fine im here if you need to talk to anyone

hi there is lots of signs you shiuld look out for as well as discharge have u developed breasts, got vagina nd under arm hair, are you moddy i got mine 2 or 3 years after but everyones different ask ur mum md sisters when they got theirs cos u might get it at the same age as them
you said you dont have cramps, not everyone does get them (lucky you if you dont) but if u start to feel any pain ir mood swing u probs get them soon also most girl get their period by 16 go on beinggirl.com gd luck xx

hey dont know why most of u on this that dont have ur period want it so what if friends have it !! i remember i wished i had it then i when i got it i wished i didnt have i get horrible stomach cramps so do 50% of women and teens and young women get worse cramps ive had it since two months before my 13 bday thats a year and a half ive had it so enjoy the time before you get it just take a pad every where you go incase it surprises you !!

i started on thursday this week. Before i had like LOADS of brown stuff in my underwear, but then i stopped after a week (this was in February 2012) & now ive just started I'm 11 by the way. But its totally nomal when you get it. Everyone is different so its all good, and i swear down i wish i hadnt got it. You see, im a swimmer & i had to miss this major competition this week because of this & im gutted! So enjoy....because when you do start there will be some things you'll have to miss out on :/.
