I started my period on the 3rd of this month (december) and took the pill on the first day of my period...nine days later I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. The booklet said I'd be protected straight away as long as I took the pill on the first day of my period but i've been reading that you should use other contraception with it for first month, now i'm confused. Is there a possibility I could be pregnant? I've been takng them on time and have not missed one pill...also I would like switch form the yasmin pill to an alternative one as i have been hearing so much bad press about it. t was recommended to me a good few years ago but this is my first month of taking it but I think its best if I change, how soon can i change from one pill to the next and do I have to take a break? I'm on my last four pills in the pack but really don't want to wait to have to change my pill any ideas???
