Hello. I am a 50 year old male. I am on a waiting list for sugury on an external roid. I knew recovery was painfull but after reading many of the posts I dont mind saying that I am now quite terrified.

I have had my roid for many years My question is at what point should I ge tht esurgery done?. My roid gives me very little discomfort but it can bleed a lot and does it cosistantly, although some times it stops bleeding for a while.

The first doctor I went to see was not to concerned, he sent me for a colonscopy to make sure nothing eles was an issue, and thought I could live with it with some changes in diet. But after a bad boat of bleeding I went to see the specialist who said it should be done.

After reading all the posts (and getting quite scared) I have embarked on much reading via the net and I intend on trying everything I can to avoid the surgery and to help the problem.

I have started the Cayenne peper treatment and hope it will help.

At what point do I give up and get the surgery done?

Thanks

These are all external?

You'll know when you're ready for surgery. You'll get to a point where you tell yourself that enough is enough. However, until you get to that point, you may want to try some herbal options. Do a google for "ClearMed". A lot of people swear by it. I tried using it for my internal hemorrhoids and it did make a difference, but I guess my case was too far gone so it never fully got rid of it.

But, in your case, it may be worth a shot.

I had internal ones as well and just got sick and tired of not being able to function through the day without fear of them popping out. This is why I had mine done. Tried all types of creams and so on but nothing helped only the surgery did and it's been bloody great.

There are a list of things you need to follow if you do go for the surgery like: ice packs, never wipe for the first 2 weeks only showers to wash the area, lots of hot baths after BM's and the list goes on. If you follow peoples tips it will help quite a lot.

And remember and GOOD HEALTHY HIGH FIBRE DIET!!
