Hi, my girlfriend Katie posted something on this account a few days ago, we share it. I am a 18 year old girl, (lesbian) and I get aroused by the feeling of really needing to pee. Also, if my need to pee ends in some or all of it ending up in my clothes that makes me really turned on, and peeing in the woods or in the pool or by the roadside is also a turn on and fun. Katie feels the same way and this is part of our relationship, I wondered if anyone knew the scientific reasons for this? thanks in advance to anyone who reply's, Annabelle.

No answer? If a medical professional would like to answer my question, that would be nice :) if not that's ok :)

Dear Annabelle --

Peeing (pee-play) is often a part of people's sexual "repertoire", for a number of interesting reasons:

PSYCHOLOGICAL The process of urination establishes itself early on in our young psyches as a pleasurable sensation (nearly as pleasurable as suckling a nipple). The warmth you describe when you wet your clothing harkens back directly to the warmth that flooded against our skin as babies, and the relief we felt from emptying our full bladders. At that age, we are likely to associate that sensation with the resulting (hopefully, loving) attention of a parent or caregiver, AND with the uninhibited freedom to do what we need to do whenever we feel the need to do it, unrestricted by societal rules, conventions, expectations of behavior, etc. The feeling of your wet clothing against your skin also plays into this early pleasure experience, mimicking the feeling of a wet diaper. Of course, some adults actually don diapers of one sort or another to fully enjoy the idea in their "grown-up" lives. Then, urinating outdoors at once recaptures the feeling of being naked and of freely emptying ourselves whenever and wherever we need to, and allows us to be a little "naughty" at the same time by revealing our genitals in public -- because we've just got to. On some level, too, it connects with a very animal desire to mark our territory. We still retain that need, deep in our "animal" brain to say, "I was here". That gets all wrapped up in the playful idea that we "hope" others of our species won't "accidentally" see us doing it. Or do we?  There is a measure of exhibitionist pleasure in the risk of getting caught by others, isn't there? We love "showing off", as a species. And being a communal animal, we might even hope the sight of us peeing would encourage them to join us in that activity, multiplying the pleasure, and sharing the risk.

PHYSIOLOGICAL - It is quite a cosmic joke, really, that our reproductive organs and our waste elimination systems should be in such close proximity. The engineering of those systems to share the various structures and organs that lie between our legs makes it an almost guaranteed certainty that peeing (and pooping) should become intimately entwined with our sexual desires and sensations. Large nerve bundles lie in close proximity throughout that area, and often experience sympathetic excitation. Stimulating one system cannot help but stimulate the other. I mentioned suckling before, and obviously there are many people who like to engage in oral sex while someone is urinating, or conversely, placing their hand or body in the way of that stream to enjoy the feeling of a warm bodily liquid "fresh from the tap", so to speak. Many people find it pleasurable to urinate on themselves for much the same reasons. Add our brain into the mix, which blends in early memories attached to sensations such as the breeze lightly playing across our naked bodies, and we now can get extremely aroused by taking off our clothes and unrinating and /or defacating -- especially outside, and in public.

I am thrilled that you and your partner have discovered a shared passion for your sensual experiences, and wish you only the best -- and wettest -- of times!
