They would both show up under Opiates, if it's a standard urine test. So if you are prescribed one type of opiate (say hydrocodone) and you use something else, it will all show up under the same "opiate" family.

This is not completely true, if it is a test for a job then yeah ur pretty safe, but where i go to pain clinic they do a quick urine test and then they send it off to do a more comprehensive test on what you tested positive for, i accidentally tested positive for percocet and hydrocodone and wasnt sposed to have the perc. luckily she mentioned and i played dumb and she let me slide with kind of a speech about making sure i dont take no one elses and take mine right, not like she was accusing me but like a just in case speech. what im trying to find out is if hydrocodone can somehow metabolize in the liver and come out showing positive for oxycodone? anyone know?

Depends on the drug test. Oxy doesn't show up on a lot of them. If they do a gas chromatography, then it will not only tell what it is, but how much there is. If its a simple dip stick or a cup with the built in test, then it may or may not show up. I wouldn't risk it if its important.

Will percocet show up as the same as a lortab (hydrocodone) on a drug test? Or will it show up as oxycodone?
