Please, can somebody give me some information about CPAP? My husband has a severe obstructive sleep apnea. His doctor advised him to use CPAP but we heard that it can not be useful for patients with severe OSA. Now he doesn’t know what to do. Would CPAP help severe obstructive sleep apnea? Thank you!

Well, as I know, patients with severe disease usually are the candidates for surgical procedures. But I advise you to try with CPAP first. You can’t be sure when it will be effective. CPAP is the most common treatment for OSA. I heard that sometimes surgery can be complicated. Maybe you should listen to your doctor.
