A friend of mine has developed bad psychotic disorder a month ago. He had the same problem in family and I guess that it is a kind of hereditary early stadium of schizophrenia. He has been on zybreta since he got the diagnosis. I visit him very often and get him some food, fruit and the accessories. Few days ago he has developed flu so I’m interested in if it is safe to take medications commonly used in flu when patient is on zybreta? Is it safe to take vitamine supplements and herbal remedies?

I think that even otcs and herbal drugs are not safe enough to combine with zyprexa. Effect of zybrexa can be increased to toxicity or totally suppressed by other drugs used at the same time. You said that your friend has started with the therapy a month ago. What you called flu may be common side effect of zybrexa. My advice is not to give him any other drug before the doctor is asked.
