I didn't have too much trouble stopping drinking after 14 years. Drinking was done mostly on weekends and had a lot of fun with it. But eventually got me into a lot of trouble which led me to stop drinking.
I have been experiencing a lot of change, some good and some not so good. I think I'm experiencing depression, sensitivity and not knowing how to handle or act in certain situations anymore. Initially for about the first 9 months, I was in a worst situation, experiencing all types of feelings, hearing things (hallucinating) and felt like I was going nuts. I started drinking when I was 20, stopped at 34. Should I not have stopped cold turkey? Is what I am experiencing normal? If so, how long does it last? Seems like it has gotten better but not feeling normal at all. Please advice, thank you.
