im on seasonique and shouldnt get my period for 2 more monthes,ive been on it for a year and its never caused any problems until about a month ago they switched me to the generic and i started bleeing,so they switched me back to brand name and now the bleeding wont stop.its just getting heavier and heavier,going to gyno on monday but im wondering what could be causing this,any ideas?

You kind of answered this already with your first line! Long acting BC can sometimes "become useless" in less time than they were supposed to - alsmost like the body getting used to the drug and hormones! So I would suspect that you either will be put on another BC OR your doctor will tell you to have a break from it for awhile and let your hormones regulate! To be perfectly honest, I would rather you let your body be "normal" for a bit THEN go back on! Long term BC can actually take upto 6 months for things to get back to normal! And Also I think either your pharmacist or insurace should be taken to task for messing with your order! Even though generic are supposed to have the same dose, there is usually quite a difference! Are you feeling faint or anemic?
