I run a home daycare and I've had a little girl in my daycare for about a year. I've noticed a few of concerning things with social interaction as well as issues with changing of her diapers.

Before I make a call to the appropriate individuals I need to find out if this is normal for a little girl? I have NEVER known any child who actually injures themselves OR inserts her fingers into herself. On a number of occasions I've noticed that there is small tearing along the side of her vagina and I have contacted and shown her parents but they seem to think it's just from her playing.

I would hate to think that something is happening to this little girl and to make an accusation such as this is huge, so any information regarding my concerns would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

This girl is way to young to just be incerting her fingers down there. there has to be something down there that is bothering her , that behavior is not normal .
I would too be concerned . and the parents just said it was her playing? How old is this girl ?
I think her parents should be more concerned.
her playing? are you serious that sounds a bit suspicious to me

The little girl is 2 1/2 years old. I'll be speaking with a physician this week to determine what is going on and hopefully get an appointment for them with her.

i know you want to hear what others think, but if you take a moment to think about all the things you have noticed here, something is horribly wrong! it is your job to take care of and be concerned for the children at the same time! i see that what you feel in your gut is that something bad is happening at home, most of the time our gut+evidence is true! dont worry about disappointing anyone, pick up the phone and make a call! there is no reason a child should be doing this! even if she isnt being molested of any sort at home, that dosnt mean things arent happening! because no child should even know how to play with herself at that age! unless she has seen it, or its being done! and her behavior and things have changed? if i were you, i wouldnt have waisted any time calling to inform police of SS! go ahead and do it! keep us posted!
