I am 47 and had my tubes tied last year. About 4 months ago and again this month I have my regular period then have another one as soon as the first one ends. I have had blood work and everything is fine - and the Dr tells me I am NOT even close to menopause. He says everything is in the "normal" range. Any suggestions???

It is not TWO periods technically... It is a period, then some unusual bleeding...
I have heard from many women who have had tubal ligations, that their periods often become very strange and they have odd patterns of bleeding.
Not all women have this, but perhaps the tubal ligation has something to do with it.
I have a copper IUD because I have heard from a lot of women about problems associated with a tubal.

I have the same thing going on - except that I have not had a tubal. I have a period (full on, cramping, headache, mood swings, everything - not just extra unusual bleeding) about every 6 days - so roughly 2 a month.
My doctors have not found anything either. The weirdest thing is that I'm not even anemic and this has been going on at least 3 years (before this I was ALWAYS anemic). I'm interested to hear other theories on what this could be - as my Gynecologist just shrugged it off as me "getting older". I'm 38. Was 36 at the time of my visit with her. :(
