Alright, I was searching through the net to figure out the answer to my question. But I'm not for sure if I have fully gotten an answer. I have a 28 day cycle of pills on Yasmin. 3 weeks of active pills and 1 week of the placebo pills. I haven't been taking the placebo pills ever sence I've started the pills, which was about a year and a half ago to two years. The only time I have ever taken them was during my period or sometimes not at all. But now I haven't had my period sence October and here it is Feb. And still nothing. I'm a little worried now. So what I want to know is, do I NEED to be taking these placebo pills? And should I be worrying?

You do not NEED to take the placebo pills, they are simply INACTIVE placeholders to 'keep your memory in place'.

IF you are not pregnant, then there is not necessarily anyhting wrong. Some women lose their periods while on birth control pills.

I'm not pregnant, that came out negative. And today I started spotting. Noticed it once I wipped today. So ... Yay? =)

YES yay! =)

It is not 'typical', but some women notice that their periods stop when they are on BC. Many women must 'fight' to stop their periods, but you seem to not have that problem.

The pregnancy test would have been accurate, so you should be all clear!

I called my doctor's today to do a double check to see about my problem. They want me to come in to do a test to see if I am ..you know. I told them I was spotting and I told them I took an over the counter test but they still want me to come in and take it... So now I'm worried all over again.. I really don't know if I should or not... Are they just double checking or are they afraid that I might be? =( Please help.

It is common practice for any woman that has this problem to have an in office pregnancy test. They will probably do a blood test, which is most accurate.

I understand you are worried.. IF you were pregnant from 2-3 months ago, you would have a definate + preganncy test!

Usually when a womans period is late, even if she is bleeding, the test is considered accurate.

Go ahead and take the test. They may also want to switch pills for you as well. =)

Alright. Thank you. That gives me more of a reassurance. =) So they're just going to do it just to be positive?

Usually yes :-P

Even women with tubal ligations are routinely given pregnancy tests at doctors offices and ER'S!

I know, seems crazy...

So I have an appointment to see my Doc. on tuesday...I'm only 18 and I really don't want to be pregnant. But I have noticed my spotting seems to just be spotting... light at times, sometimes not at all then it comes back and sometimes a bit thicker. I've been reading a little bit on this implantation bleeding stuff.... And now Im wondering if its possible it could be that? I haven't been taking my active pills after I saw that I was bleeding. I know I've been asking a lot of questions here... But Each time I get my mind set at ease, I read more about some symtoms and then I get worried again. I did take an over the counter Preg test this morning. It was the EPT preg test and it came out negative again. But I'm not wondering if the bleeding may be causing it to say negative or not... Please explain or help me figure out whats going on until I go get a test done by the Doc. =/

I understand your concerns..

FYI- Bleeding does not affect pregnancy tests. Preg tests tes for a special hormone in your urine.

Not having a period can also be a concern for reasons other than pregnancy, my dear. Anorexia, anemic, and other stuff that I'm not aware of because I'm not a doctor. Anyway, they probably want to make sure all is well aside from just pregnancy.
