I am 46, usually really regular. Had my last period in August could I be pregnant took one test said negative took another and it said positive. Have gyn. appointment in November. Could I be going through menopause?
False positive pregnancy tests are VERY rare. The test defaults to "negative" not positive.
Repeat the test using your first morning urine, your wake up pee.
Menopause will not cause a pregnancy test to read positive. Yes, missed periods can also indicate that you are starting menopause.
Do the test and then see your doctor to find out why you aren't having a period.
