Two months ago a child was born with a severe malformation. He was born with three arms, one right and two left arms. He is about to undergo a surgery in Shanghai real soon to have one of the hands removed.

Doctors are still in doubt which arm to remove since none of them developed fully and properly. The one closer to the body is slim and bent. The other one has a normal shape but cannot be moved unless pulled and the palm is missing. Yet, any light touch to the left arms puts the boy in discomfort and pain meaning that both of the arms are very sensitive to the touch.
The surgery will tell if the arm that doctors decide to save will regain its full capacity.

The third arm is not the only problem Jie-jie is facing since he also has only one kidney, which may bring additional problems later on and cause spine curvature.
