I am 15 years old and I came on here to see if anyone can give me advice. I am a virgin and I have had my period for almost 3 years now...I have had a white discharge and a fishy smell all the time for about a year or longer! I thought it would just gradually go away but it doesn't...I am pretty afraid to go to the doctors due to it being summer and what not. But I am embarrassed. I don't like this at all D: Is this normal ? I had read on others like this but I just wanted to know if there was a way to stop this or if it's just normal. Help ?

It is perfectly normal for a white mucous discharge to come out. It is all part of the girls menstrual cycle. A girl can undergo drastic changes to her body. Even though im a boy, I've learned from passed girls, girlfriends and even my mom >_< Your body is still undergoing change. This discharge can go on for day, weeks even months before and after your period. The only thing that you should look into and keep an eye open is if your white/clear discharge turns yellow and gets dry then that is a sign of a bacterial infection and should be looked at by a doctor.
