Im 17 nearly 18 and i have been bleeding for the past 7 months.
My boyfriend was really worried that something was wrong so he sent me to the doctors.
I got transferred to the sexual health clinic back in december 2008 and had sti test done, everything came back negative and that was the last i heard from them.
I then got fed up of bleeding and figured id stop taking my pill and had my implant removed thinking this could be what was causeing the problem.
I then made another appointment at the doctors last week and she has yet again told me i need more tests for stis done as there was no data on the pc.
So i have an appointment tomorrow for them to take more tests.
Ive been given NORETHISTERONE and this has stopped the bleeding but ive only been given 10 days worth. and they wont prescribe anymore.
Does anyone have any idea on what could be happening?
Thanks

Hi:
The good news seems to be that if the pills stopped the bleeding, then it's probably some sort of hormonal imbalance instead of a serious disease. That's great news. It sounds like they just need to regulate your cycle. It sounds like you're in good hands because they don't want to just throw you some pills without doing further investigation. Keep the appointments for testing and have all of the recommended tests done. You are pretty young to have this type of problem, so further investigation is needed. Good luck...Get back to us so that other young women can be helped by your experience.....We'll be waiting to hear from you...I know you will get the help you need very soon.
